Sons Of Anarchy To Channel Sandy Hook In Season 6 Premiere [Rumor]

Sons of Anarchy

Sons of Anarchy returns to FX tonight, and boy does that seem like a long way off. Still, we do know a few things about the season premiere, titled “Straw.” If you want a clean, neutral experience, read no further. Even still, we can’t guarantee any of the spoilers below are legitimate, so bear that in mind.

Let’s ride.

According to the International Digital Times, Season 6 picks up right where Season 5 left off. Tara and Clay are in prison, Jax is in charge of a club that seems more fractured and broken than ever, and Otto still doesn’t have his tongue.

Mostly, all we have are “hints” about Season 6. Jax is continuing to try to push SAMCRO into a more legitimate business, the Lee Toric plotline is expected to be a major one (he may even be the “Big Bad”), and Season 6 will likely act as a denouement for Season 7, and set up the pieces for the end of the series.

But the biggest spoiler about the Season 6 premiere is also the most shocking. Apparently, the episode will focus on a school shooting.

The episode will actually show a shooting scene, which possibly takes inspiration from the real-life Sandy Hook massacre from late last year. If you watch the show, you know that “assault weapons” are SAMCRO’s bread and butter, and the weapon used in the shooting will apparently trace back to the club. Not only will the heat from federal and local authorities increase, but Charming locals, who have long supported the club in silence, will also turn against them.

I can’t stress enough that this is an unconfirmed rumor, and pretty much just one last piece of gossip before we find out for sure when the premiere airs tonight.

Still, Sutter has said in previous interviews that Season 6 will be more violent than previous seasons, and that the violence will continue to increase through Season 7 all the way to what will likely be a pretty unhappy ending.

Sons of Anarchy Season 6 premieres with “Straw” tonight, September 10, at 10 pm on FX.
