Miley Cyrus ‘Wrecking Ball’ Video Could Set Vevo Record

Miley Cyrus wants her Vevo record back. The singer, who gets almost completely naked for her new video “Wrecking Ball,” is hoping to get at least 12.3 million views during the video’s first 24 hours on the site.

The video has already been viewed about 5 million times and it’s only been up for 8 hours.

Miley set the 24 hour record on Vevo earlier this year with her video for “We Can’t Stop.”

She lost the record about a month later when One Direction released “Best Song Ever.” The One Direction song gained 12.3 million views during its first 24 hours and now that’s the number that Miley is hoping to beat.

The singer wrote on Twitter today: “#WreckTheRecord. Wrecking Ball is number 6 on iTunes! Watch wrecking ball on vevo and get it to number 1!!!”

Miley has been the talk of the internet since her VMA performance earlier this month and her “Wrecking Ball” video is definitely something to see. The singer ditches the tongue wagging, the twerking, and most of her clothes for the new video.

Do you think Miley Cyrus will retake the Vevo one-day record? She currently has 5,234,046 views and about 15 hours to go.
