‘Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Collection’ Price Drops This Week

Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Collection‘s price dropped this week.

For those of you who are old enough to remember when Street Fighter II hit arcades, you might find it amusing that the fighting game that kickstarted the genre into super stardom is now 25 years old. We doubt you even own a console controller that old unless you’re a hardcore collector. In that case, you might be interested to know that a collectors’ edition set of Street Fighter games has officially dropped in price to something less than what you might need a bank loan for.

The price dropped Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Collection includes Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, Street Fighter III 3rd Strike Online Edition, Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition, and Street Fighter X Tekken. Of course, you don’t just get the latest versions (so far) of all of those games, but you also get all of the DLC costumes and characters for the latter two of the bunch … at least until Ultra Street Fighter IV hits. We hope your fighting fingers are limbered up because that’s a lot of gaming to take on in one package.

What was originally $149.99 has officially dropped to $80 for just this week. Also, you’re not just getting the games and DLC in the price dropped Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Collection. There are also plenty of extras including some animated movies, the animated TV series, and 11-disc soundtrack, an art book, a Ryu statue that lights up, a replica black belt, and of course the certificate of authenticity.

If you’re looking into buying this collection and you haven’t played these games much, we recommend clearing your schedule for at least a month. These games are addicting and hard to master, and there are tons of characters, each of which has his or her own fighting style and special moves. That was what made Street Fighter II and its myriad followups such instant classics.

Pick up your copy of Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Collection at the dropped price this week only from the Capcom online store.
