Justin Bieber Takes New York, Upgrades ‘The Bieber’ At Fashion Week

Justin Bieber rolled back the years as he unveiled an upgrade on his iconic “The Bieber” hair flip of old at New York Fashion Week on Sunday.

Sitting front row with pals at the Spring/Summer 2014 Y-3 runway show, the still mustached singer may have possibly surprised other guests at the event more used to his signature pompadour.

But while Justin’s blow-dried cut was old school throwback, his clothes were anything but.

Appropriately attired in Y-3, the 19-year-old wore a black V-neck shirt framed with a Y design, and teamed with black leather trousers and white high top trainers.

Completing his casual fashionista ensemble with ever-present shades, the singer was also joined in the front row by soul singer Miguel and NBA basketball stars John Wall and Iman Shumpert.

Once the show ended, Bieber made his way backstage to congratulate the creator of the Y-3 line, Yohji Yamamoto.

The 69-year-old, stylishly dressed designer looked delighted to see the pop singer, fist-bumping as they were snapped by photographers.

During his New York City visit, the superstar — who represents the brand — was also seen sitting front row at adidas’ runway show, and Opening Ceremony’s.

He was accompanied by a group of friends, including his rumored ex-girlfriend Jacque Pyles.

Dressed more informally for this event, the Canadian kept his hair under a hat and wore a white sweater over leather pants.

In what was a busy weekend for Bieber, on Saturday he took to Twitter to reveal he and members of his team had taped a three hour interview for the upcoming movie-docu Believe with its director Jon M. Chu. A rough cut of the movie was screened to a group of fans and buyers at the Toronto International Film Festival the same day.

After the interview taping the singer tweeted a message, writing:

Still on a break from his extensive Believe world tour, before Sunday’s fashion rounds the “Baby” star told his legion of Twitter followers that he attended a church service earlier that morning.

“Great Sunday so far,” he tweeted, before following up with:

Bieber didn’t go into details about his emotional admission, but it’s very possible his dramatic year — most recently punctuated by a clubber attacking him in a Toronto nightclub, and unloading in a three hour interview — may have some bearing.

However, the singer’s final weekend tweet simply read, “Smile.”

Tweets from New York fans who got a chance to meet Bieber have already made their way online.

The “Wait For A Minute” singer was also snapped at NYC’s Dream Downtown Restaurant and was later spotted clubbing with his crew at 1Oak nightclub last night.

Shirtless, naturally.
