Syria World War 3 Bible Prophecy? Syrian Government Doesn't Care If WW3 Starts

Some believe there are Syria World War 3 Bible prophecies that point to the coming confrontation between the United States and Syria’s allies.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, some believe World War 3 could be caused by Syria. An Obama satan photo has WW3 fears to blame for its popularity.

Reports of the Russian warship’s special cargo stoked fears of World War 3. Then today Russian President Putin said they’d help Syria if the United States attacked:

“Will we help Syria? We will. We are already helping; we send weapons and cooperate in the economic sphere.”

The Syrian government even says they don’t care if Syria causes World War 3:

“The Syrian government will not change position even if there is World War III. No Syrian can sacrifice the independence of his country.”

As tensions over Syria are ramping up some people are looking to potential Syria World War 3 Bible prophecy. The biggest Syria Bible prophecy is Isaiah 17, which affects the city of Damascus:

“Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap. The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, saith the Lord of hosts.”

Some Bible experts believe this Bible prophecy was already fulfilled in in 732 BC when Assyrians destroyed Damascus. But others believe the exact terms have not been fulfilled based upon Jeremiah 49:23-27, thus making it part of end times prophecy concerning Jesus’ Second coming. But experts say the destruction of Damascus could be triggered by an attack on Syria:

“The prophet Isaiah predicts a quick war between Israel and Damascus, culminating with the total destruction of the city in a single night. In the event of a WMD attack against Israel, the destruction of Damascus would be Israel’s only defense against potential annihilation.”

Bible prophecy has a long history of influencing world events. Isaiah 44 predicted by name that King Cyrus of Babylon would restore Israel and rebuild Jerusalem hundreds of years before he was born. Alexander the Great did not destroy Jerusalem because of a dream he said was from God and because of Biblical predictions from the book of Daniel claiming the Greeks would overthrow the Persian empire. The division of Alexander’s empire into four parts is also claimed to be part of Bible prophecy. A 408 year old prophecy predicted the Jewish uprising of the Maccabees, inspiring the fight against Antiochus Epiphanes, who desecrated the Jewish temple and committed horrible crimes against humanity.

In more recent times, some say Biblical prophecy referred to 1917 as when 400 years of Turkish Muslim occupation would end. British General Allenby was told by the British government in London that Isaiah 31 referred to his invasion of Jerusalem. The Turkish thought Allanby’s name meant Allah en Nebi, or God’s prophet, so he was able to take the city on foot without conflict. Israel becoming a nation again in 1948 is said to confirm many Bible prophecies (Ezekiel 37:10-14; Isaiah 43:5, 6; 66:7-8) required for the end times to occur.

While some people may scoff at the idea of Syria World War 3 Bible prophecies or religious prophecies in general there are many who take the idea very seriously, including the leaders of powerful countries. For example, Iran’s Ahmadinejad believed the Twelfth Iman would usher in Islam’s messiah via World War 3, destroying the entire world in the process. Ten years before Ronald Reagan ran for President a minister named George Otis prophesied Reagan would lead the United States against all odds. Ronald Reagan and both George Bush’s used to consult Bible experts on how world events might fit into Biblical prophecy.

Who cares if a crazy person shouts something about a prophecy? Virtually every single "prophecy" ever put out has been fake and wrong. Syria has no connection to the Bible. Silly to say so.

Why did you even get on here if you don't believe anyway? Because your a stupid kid with an attitude. You proved that your immature when you got on a site that you don't believe in and then try and start an argument. Most normal people would see bible prophecy and say "Oh I don't believe in that so I'm not going to click on it." But then there's little bitches like you that just like starting shit.

Seth Fitzgerald Believing in the bible does not make you unfit to care for yourself, Not believing in a higher power makes you a fool and and ridiculous to believe there is not a POSSIBLE chance there IS someone or something controlling or having say over the world. Shame on your parents for not teaching you any better. history REPEATS itself time and time again why is that you think? you think enough people learned from the past. Show me how or where the "prophecy" is wrong Noah's ark much? FOUND where the BIBLE said it would be. right was it not? I can go on with more then enough evidence to show SOME higher power IS there. please do not diminish your intellect to respond back. by the way its not nice to call people names what you do to others, will surly happen to you.

How can you be so sure that the verses written in the cannon are fairy tales? You are basing your information from Wikipedia, where anyone can post. How about before you bash a persons view point, you honestly study something of value. You can't even use Wikipedia in most American high schools as a source for a paper. Not only does this ignorance sicken me Seth Fitzgerald, but it also makes me ashamed to be a part of this culture.

Tyler Clark Wiest will "surly" happen to you? If you're going to bash Seth's spelling you need to bash Ms. Bowzer's as well.

I respectfully disagree that current events in Syria have anything to do with Isaiah 17. Isaiah and Amos were contemporary prophets, and both predicted (in Isaiah 7-8, Isaiah 17, and Amos 1) that Syria and Israel would soon be destroyed by the same opponent, Assyria. II Kings 16 shows in detail that their prophecies were fulfilled, and this is validated by historical records:

What a horrible failure in reading the Book of Isaiah. The book isn't about Armageddon, but about a "Kingdom of God" established on Earth that all the world's nations end up following. And righting the wrongs done to Israel(just repeating what it says).

And if you actually read, and understand, The Gospels you'd know that all the Isaiahan prophecies were supposedly fulfilled by Jesus and John the Baptist. I'm always amazed at how many followers of any religion don't understand their own sacred writngs, and unsurprisingly the most ignorant tend to be the loudest of all.

The first part of this long book contains messages of judgment and warning similar to those of the other eighth-century prophets. Isaiah condemns hypocritical worship, complacency, and the failure to act with justice for the poor. The prophet also speaks resounding words of promise, announcing God's coming messianic kingdom.

The second part of the book brings words of comfort and hope to the exiles in Babylonian captivity in the sixth century B.C.E. This section introduces God's suffering servant in passages that have become well known to believers in every generation.

A third part of the book contains both warnings and promises for the community after its return to Jerusalem following the fall of Babylon in 538 B.C.E.
