Answers to important questions: are Scientologists more powerful than Samurai’s?

Scientology employees in Los Angeles have shot dead a man threatening them with two Samurai swords.

The unidentified man approached Scientology guards around noon Sunday in the parking lot of the Scientology Celebrity Centre in Los Angeles. One guard “felt threatened for his life” and fired at the man reported local police.

Detectives were questioning the guard to figure out the swordsman’s motive and determine whether the shooting was justified reports CBS13. Surveillance tape showed the man arriving in traditional Los Angeles Samurai transport, a red convertible, then approaching the guards with a sword in each hand.

No word yet on exactly what the man was wearing, so we’re not sure if he went the extra step and dressed up as a Ninja as well for good measure. The man was pronounced dead on arrival at a local hospital.

  1. Detective Wendi Berndt told the Los Angeles Times the man had been involved with the church in the past.

“There was a previous relationship, but it is unclear to what degree,” Berndt said.

  3. Scientology kills their members all the time. Take away their tax-exempt status!

  4. What kind of “church” would have surveillance cameras and armed guards who shoot to kill?
Scientology is not a church. It's a deadly cult.

  5. The dead man's name was Mario, a very colorful character who had tattoes on his arms and chest and the S and double triangle symbol of Scientology tatooed on his right shoulder. He was a former member of the Church of Scientology. A scary looking dude indeed, but he loved going to different bars and seeking out strange places and mixed company. He said he never had anyone start a fight with him. No wonder!
He had great communication skills, a brilliant chess player, and was generous to a fault. I have no idea what his grudge was with the Church, unless (speculation only) they had refused him further services.
