AzMarie Livingston: Meet Raven-Symoné’s Rumored Girlfriend

AzMarie Livingston might be a name to get used to. She’s the rumored girlfriend of recently-out actress Raven-Symoné, and stepped out with the Disney star at Ludacris’ Labor Day charity event Monday.

The apparent couple were spotted at the LudaDay Weekend Celebrity Pool Party in Atlanta, Georgia, over the weekend where they cozied up and shared smiles for the cameras, reports E! News.

But who is AzMarie Livingston? You might remember her from her turn on America’s Next Top Model. She was a Cycle 18 contestant who was voted off when she refused to wear a butt pad for a “bootie-tooch teach” class taught by Tyra Banks.

She was a standout of Cycle 18 for her androgynous beauty, similar to that of her confessed idol, Grace Jones.

Born Ashley Marie Livingston in Louisiana, she adopted the name “AzMarie” to be “edgy.” She was raised by a single mother, and her father was openly gay. Despite their split, Livingston said that they have a “best friends” type relationship.

She started her modeling career as a runway model in Los Angeles and New York City in 2009, working steadily until America’s Next Top Model in 2012. She placed ninth overall.

Livingston is also an actress, having appeared in the 2010 film Precious, and the gay-themed TV show DLTA as the girlfriend of Melanie Griffith’s character. She has also appeared in several music videos.

It’s unclear exactly when they met, but she started dating Raven-Symoné about two years ago. They reportedly live together in Raven’s $11,000-a-month Manhattan apartment.

Though Livingston is openly lesbian (and has been since she was a teenager), Raven has been more coy about her sexuality.

After the Supreme Court struck down the Defense of Marriage Act, she tweeted that she’s happy to know she “can” get married now if she wants to. This prompted several inquiries into her sexual orientation, and she finally addressed it in a statement to the National Enquirer.

“My sexual orientation is mine, and the person I’m datings to know. I’m not one for a public display of my life,” she said.
