Max Papis Suffered Dislocated Jaw After Fellow Drivers Girlfriend Slapped Him In The Face

Shortly after Max Papis completed Sunday’s Camping World Truck Series race in Bowmanville, Ontario, he was slapped in the face by another driver’s girlfriend.

Papis now reports that the slap was hard enough to dislocate his jaw. Adding insult to injury, Papis claims that he doesn’t even know the name of the female who initiate the slap.

Shortly after the incident went viral it was discovered that the female assaulter was the girlfriend of driver Mike Skeen.

Papis tells ESPN.com:

“This crazy lady comes shouting at me, and I had no idea, didn’t even understand her, she just started shouting. And all the sudden, she took a full hand — and she slapped me so hard. I’m not kidding. My jaw got dislocated and my left ear is still ringing, big time.”

Max Papis wasn’t sure what to do following and assault.

“What do you do? You don’t hit a lady,” Papis said. “I was in disbelief. Complete disbelief. If she would’ve closed her hand it would have been a bad punch, because she hit me so freaking hard. I went to [Skeen] and said, ‘I guess we know who’s the man in the family here, because the guy didn’t even have the [guts] to talk.’ “

Papis claims that his wreck against Skeen was not his fault. According to Papis, his fellow driver made a bad and aggressive move that wrecked both of their trucks.

During the cool down lap, both drivers gave each other the finger and then Papis claims that one of Skeen’s drivers grabbed him from inside his truck.

Papis admits that the moment even got him heated:

“So I say, ‘Come to the hauler and we’ll talk, because I don’t want to beat the s— out of you right here.’ I asked him, ‘Do you think that’s a good move? You hit me and the tire barrier.’ And the guy was like, ‘Yeah, but I did this before and it stuck.’ I said, ‘Well, it didn’t stick this time.'”

Skeen is defending his girlfriend whom he says was pulled down the stairds by Papis as he attempted to gain entry into Skeen’s team hauler.

Papis admitted that he “moved her aside” but says he didn’t physically assault her.

In the meantime, Papis says the entire assault should have stayed between the drivers.

Following the assault, Papis sent out the following tweet:

It looks like Skeen for a while at least is going to be known as the Truck Series driver who has his girlfriend fighting his battles.
