Lamar Odom Struggling With Substance Abuse [Report]

Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom are supposedly on the outs, and the latest rift rumor suggests that it’s not infertility (or infidelity) that’s causing these two trouble. It’s substance abuse.

TMZ reports that the NBA star has reportedly been struggling with recreational drugs for the past two years, and that that’s the primary reason for the couple’s problems.

Odom supposedly checked into a rehab center in San Diego last August, and his 29-year-old wife reportedly enlisted a private eye to stand guard outside of the place to make sure that her hubby wouldn’t leave.

A source alleges that Odom frequently threatened to check out of the rehab clinic, but stayed for three weeks before finally leaving for good.

He reportedly remained clean throughout his basketball season with the Los Angeles Clippers this past year.

But lately, Odom allegedly “slipped deep back into hardcore recreational drugs.”

As to the allegations that Odom has been cheating for the past four years, Khloe is apparently convinced that he was unfaithful, but is more concerned about the drug use.

“Khloe is more concerned about saving Lamar than ending her marriage,” a source said of the reality TV starlet.

“The situation has become dire,” the site says. So dire, in fact, that the Kardashian clan apparently staged an intervention for Odom this past week. Though they tried to get him to seek help, he apparently wanted no part of it and left.
