Gia Allemand Funeral: ‘Bachelor’ Star Laid To Rest In NYC


Gia Allemand’s funeral was held this week at the Trinity Grace Church in New York City.

Friends and family of the Bachelor celebrated the life of the 29-year-old star on Thursday morning.

Allemand’s NBA player boyfriend Ryan Anderson, as well as her parents Donna Micheletti and Eugene Allemand, were all in attendance.

USA Today notes that Jake Pavelka, who starred on Allemand’s season of TheBachelor, was in attendance at the wake on Wednesday in Maspeth, New York.

Pavelka wrote on Twitter: “Going 2 b an incredibly tough day. Crossfit train n NY 2 occupy my mind. Then…Find my peace w Gia. Can I ask 4 ur prayers today?”

ABC reports that Gia Allemand’s funeral was about an hour long and featured eulogies from two of Allemand’s close friends.

The funeral program read: “The family of Gia Allemand wishes to express their sincerest gratitude to all those, near and far, who have extended words of encouragement and support during this time of incredible loss.”

Allemand attempted suicide earlier this month and died a few days later in the hospital after she was taken off life support.
