The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach Loses Bob Dylan’s Hair, $5 Million In Divorce

Dan Auerbach, the frontman of the rock group The Black Keys, has lost a lock of Bob Dylan’s hair his divorce settlement.

The singer was forced to hand over the piece of the folk singer’s bouffant to his ex-wife, Stephanie Gonis, after the couple’s divorce was finalised in Tennessee earlier this week. He also has to hand her over the small matter of $5million too, as well as the couple’s 2012 Toyota Highlander and one of their houses.

Divorce document obtained by TMZ showed that the couple owned the asset, which was referred to as “Bob Dylan Hair.” It is still unknown how they got their hands on Dylan’s locks.

Auerbach had been accused of spousal abuse in divorce documents that were filed earlier this month. Gonis alleged that she had self-harmed by cutting herself “superficially” on the legs and ankles during one of his abuse sessions.

Auerbach insisted that his ex-wife had attempted to kill herself twice in one day, which lead the judge to give the singer temporary custody of their daughter.

A leaked email from Jack White to his own ex-wife Karen Elson, showed that the former White Stripes frontman despised Auerbach, as it featured White calling him a “copy” and an “asshole.”

This transpired after it was revealed that Elson had enrolled the pair’s two children, seven-year-old Scarlett and six-year-old Henry, into the same school as Auerbach’s daughter, five-year-old Sadie.

White allegedly wrote, “My concern with Auerbach is because I don’t want the kids involved in any of that crap… That’s a possible twelve fucking years I’m going to have to be sitting in kids chairs next to that asshole with other people trying to lump us in together. He gets yet another free reign to follow me around and copy me and push himself into my world.”
