Hugh Jackman Donates $10,000 To Montreal Children’s Hospital

Hugh Jackman confirmed his status as one of the nicest men in movies by donating $10,000 to the Montreal Children’s Hospital.

Jackman has been filming in Montreal for most of the summer, where he has been working on the production of the newest installment to the X-Men franchise, X-Men: Days Of Future Past, at Mel’s Cite du Cinema studios.

Jackman has been brazenly walking around the city, even taking in numerous tourist sights of Montreal as well as working as Logan while on set.

The donation was actually made by Deborra-Lee Furness, Jackman’s wife. She had originally tried to to donate the sum of money to the hospital online, however she was too overwhelmed by the many obstacles of the Internet so she simply called up instead.

Kim Fraser, who works for the Foundation, stated, “She had tried to make the donation via her computer but the confirmation she got said that she had given $10 so she called us up.”

Fraser then added, “She wanted to make the donation on behalf of her, her husband, and the cast and crew of X-Men.”

Earlier this month, Jackman took his fellow cast member of the upcoming X-Men film to a screening of The Butler, and after watching the movie he tweeted the response:

Recently Jackman responded to claims that he had rejected a $100 million deal to star in four more Wolverine film by remarking:

No it’s not true. I would never do that. I’ve never done that mainly because, for the fans and for me, each time I’ve gone around there’s been a really good reason to do it and I don’t know what that reason is from here. I’m in the middle of making this and I just promoted the other and I’m really happy with the way The Wolverine came out.
