Bon Jovi Sack Richie Sambora

Bon Jovi have reportedly sacked Richie Sambora from the bands during their current world tour.

Sambora, who plays guitar in the group, left the Because We Can world tour back in April for personal reasons. He was expected to play at their recent concert in London’s Hyde Park, but then pulled out again, before proclaiming that he would instead be rejoining them at some point in September.

Back in April a statement on the band’s website read, “Due to personal issues, Richie Sambora will not be performing on this upcoming leg. All shows will go on as scheduled.”

Bon Jovi then told a crowd in Calgary, “I had two choices, pack up and go home or give you everything I got.” He then allusively added, “Richie Sambora won’t be performing for a while. If there’s ever a night I need you, it’s tonight, Calgary!”

However, sources have now revealed that Sambora was actually booted off the tour because of a disagreement over money.

Sambora was making $2million a month while on the tour, plus he was also being paid 20 percent of the profits from the shows. Philip “Phil X” Xenidis, the stand-in axeman, is only earning $10,000 a month.

An insider remarked that Sambora wants to join up with the band again though, stating, “Richie wants to go back onstage, that’s his first love. He’s really upset over the news.”

Bon Jovi will be touring until mid-December, and along the way they will play shows in North America, Japan, Australia, and South America.

Sambora, who in the past has suffered due with substance abuse problems and has been to rehab numerous times, has yet to comment on the matter, and neither has the any other member of the band.

Earlier this summer Bon Jovi waived their Spanish concert fee in order to assist cash-strapped fans in the blighted country.
