Cara Delevingne: Model In They Running For Fifty Shades Of Grey Role Can Sing Too

Cara Delevingne is more than just a pretty face, it turns out.

The 21-year-old is one of the most in-demand models in the business, booked for a slate of shows at New York Fashion Week, and even auditioning for a major role in Fifty Shades Of Grey. But there’s more to her talents, as a popular YouTube video can attest.

Cara is featured in a duet with singer-songwriter Will Heard singing “Sonnentanz (Sun Don’t Shine),” a brilliant and perfectly crafted song that emphasizes some great harmonies from the model.

“She effortlessly sings in perfect pitch, dressed in a silky patterned blouse, white tank and gray skinny jeans and ankle booties without a stitch of makeup for a cooler-than-cool vibe that looks like she’s not even trying,” E! News notes.

Anyone who has followed Cara Delevingne closely won’t be too surprised to hear her singing prowess. Earlier this year she flashed a bit of her musical talents with a jam session on the drums also featured in YouTube. The drums seemed more or less a prop in a makeup promotion at London’s Selfridge’s department store, but Cara stepped up and rocked out a pretty sharp solo session.

So with modeling, singing, and drumming under her belt, Cara Delevingne appears to be headed for a burgeoning career in acting as well. She’s already had parts in a few films including Kids In Love, a drama about a group of party-loving young people in London.

Now Cara could be headed for one of the biggest roles in years. She’s auditioned for the role of Anastasia Steele in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades Of Grey, which has been the subject of casting rumors for months.

Though she would be competing with big-name actresses like Emma Watson, Elizabeth Olsen, and Alexis Bledel, Cara Delevingne would seem to have an inside track for the Fifth Shades Of Grey Rrole. She’s good friends with Sam Taylor-Johnson, who’s been picked to direct the movie.
