Angela Merkel’s Jet Invaded By Bodybuilder In Underpants

An intruder broke into the jet of Angela Merkel, the German Chancellor, while it was at Cologne Airport last month, for several hours.

The man managed to break in, play around with numerous buttons in the cockpit, before activating the escape slide, and using fire extinguishers too. He was eventually apprehended by police.

Merkel wasn’t in Cologne at the time of the incident, which took place on July 25, and is now being investigated.

The intruder was a 24-year-old bodybuilder who was only referred to as Volkan T, and rumors have started to circulate that the individual was dancing in his underwear on the plane, and under the influence of ecstasy.

An unnamed air official remarked, “The man probably got onto the airfield because there was construction and that’s why the alarm system was turned off. He then pulled down the jet engine’s cover, climbed up and entered the plane through its emergency exit.”

When he was finally caught by police, he refused to leave the plane and was bitten in the leg twice by police dogs, who eventually overpowered the intruder.

A senior prosecutor for Cologne, Ulrich Bremer, added, “According to witnesses, he seem to have been under the influence of drugs, but we are still waiting for a scientific evaluation to confirm this.”

Bremer then added, “It seems his behaviour may have been related to a psychiatric illness and he has been put up in a mental institution while we’re waiting for a psychological evaluation. He may not fully be held responsible for his acts.”

The plane was on “power-off mode” during the time of the incident, which means that there was no way Volkan, who had no prior history with police before the incident, could have started the plane.

An air force spokesman confirmed that an extra employee will now be used to guard government planes at all times in the future.
