Demi Lovato Is ‘Glee’ Bound For Six Shows

Demi Lovato is “Glee” bound.

She is closing a deal that will allow her to join Season 5 of the FOX program as one of Rachel and Santana’s New York friends, according to TVLine.

Lovato’s character is called Dani. She is a struggling artist who interacts with Lea Michele’s Rachel and Naya Rivera’s Santana as well as Adam Lambert’s incoming character.

Lovato and Lambert will perform several musical numbers together, and Lovato will feature in at least six episodes, starting with the show’s second Beatles tribute on October 3.

This is Lovato’s first major TV acting role since “Sonny With a Chance.” This show went out on the Disney Channel for two seasons until 2011. Lovato has also had a part in “Grey’s Anatomy.”

Demi Lovato, who will be 21 on Tuesday, has also made appearances on “Prison Break,” along with two “Camp Rock” TV movies.

Lovato’s working as both a judge on “The X Factor” and a guest star on “Glee” is a cross-promotional dream come true for FOX, especially with both shows airing on Thursdays.

But it remains to be seen whether Demi Lovato’s appearance will cause an upturn in the ratings.
