Woman Stabbed With Stiletto Heel At Baby Shower

Lincoln, NE — A sidewalk argument after a baby shower culminated in one woman allegedly stabbing another in the face with a stiletto heel.

After the baby shower that they both reportedly attended, the alleged assailant grabbed one one of the victim’s six-inch high heels which she was holding in her hands and attacked her.

According to the police report,”The stiletto heel punctured the victim’s cheek and had to be pulled out of her face.” The assailant then knocked the the victim to the ground and started choking her.

The suspect in the stiletto attack, identified in media accounts as Julia Bol, 28, was taken into custody by police and charged with strangulation and assault. The two women were supposedly arguing about a man.

The victim, 41, was treated at Bryan West Medical Center in Lincoln for bruising to her neck and a puncture wound on her left check and then released. The incident occurred at about 3 am yesterday. The suspect reportedly received treatment for a minor injury to her arm.

Baby showers are supposed to be joyous occasions but that is not always the case. Back in January, an estimated 200 people got into a melee at a baby shower in Massachusetts that required a response from about 30 police officers including those from neighboring jurisdictions.

A stiletto heel in and of itself can be a deadly weapon. As we reported in June, in another early morning confrontation, a woman in Houston allegedly stabbed her boyfriend to death with a stiletto heel.

Just wearing high heels can be dangerous. As we have reported, according to one doctor prolonged use of high heels can lead to sever foot and ankle pain as well as other problems such as gait, misshapen big toes, hammertoes (a deformity of the proximal interphalangeal joint of the second, third, or fourth toe), corns, bunions, and severe pain in the ball of the foot.
