‘The Hobbit: Desolation Of Smaug’ New Promotional Images

The Hobbit fans were jumping for joy on Saturday when some new promotional images for Desolation of Smaug hit the internet. The new stunning visuals are the covers for the film’s companion books which are available on pre-order now.

Before anyone gets carried away, there is no Smaug (Benedict Cumberbatch), which Peter Jackson and company are keeping very close to their heart and of whom we have only seen a tiny glimpse at the end of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and in the trailer for Desolation, released earlier.

But, and this is a big, but, we get some new, official images of some other characters who have also been kept hush, hush, until recently.

Among them, we see one very important person, Bard the Bowman (Luke Evans), who is central to the story going forward and one of the few humans in the novel.

The companion book covers also include images of Legolas (Orlando Bloom), who returns to reprise his role from The Lord Of The Rings series, Thorin (Richard Armitage), the Hobbit (Martin Freeman) and others.

Fans can hardly contain their excitement at these new images from The Hobbit: Desolation Of Smaug, since it has been a long wait from when the movie was announced and when it began production in New Zealand last year. We still have a few more months to wait.

The Images also give some hints of what we might see in the film. The barrel sequence is one of the images, which promises action an packed scene from Peter Jackson, who is a master.

Fans all around the world are rejoicing at seeing their favorite character in some official images. The new installment of The Hobbit, is expected to be even more packed with adventures and action as we continue to follow the hobbit’s journey to help the dwarves reclaim their home, Erebor, from Smaug the Dragon.

The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug opens in theaters in the US on December 13.
