Family Guy’s chicken fight has been reenacted in real life by a couple of dedicated women. This is the original “Epic Chicken Fight” from the cartoon, in case you wondered.
Fans of Family Guy will always remember those infamous fights between Peter Griffin and the giant chicken. They are some of the most famous side-jokes the cartoon ever threw in because they combined classic slapstick with James Bond level action scenes, and oftentimes they ended in Peter Griffin continuing a conversation he was having before, only he was all torn up.
The Family Guy chicken fights have become so infamous that when show creator Seth MacFarlane began making the Star Wars parodies, he even had Peter Griffin make a note of the giant chicken playing Boba Fett, indicating the parallel of the characters they played.
Stuntwomen Jessie Graff (as the giant chicken) and Tree O’Toole (as Peter, or Petra Griffin) were paid nearly $3000 to do a live reenactment of the original fight, and they did, almost blow for blow.
The video starts with the scene after Petra getting the coupon from the giant chicken, as the restaurant clerk tells her the coupon is expired. She turns toward the chicken, balling up her fists in rage, and yells, “You son of a…!” She then tackles the chicken through the restaurant window and the fists, head-butts, and flying roundhouse kicks fly.
The Family Guy chicken fight continues on a desert road, where traffic goes out of its way to avoid hitting them, causing explosions as collisions persist. Along comes an Asian woman talking on her cell phone while driving as she hits the two. The fight continues on the hood of her car until she makes a quick turn, throwing both of them off and straight into a revolving door, which spins as they pass through.
The chicken ends up in the elevator as Petra fails to get in and must take the stairs. The chicken sees a guy on the elevator with a bucket of fried chicken and kills him before the elevator reaches its floor, and the fight continues.
