Cher And Lady Gaga Duet Leaks Online, Causes Freak Out

After a Cher and Lady Gaga duet leaked online, Cher freaked out on Twitter in a long rant after hearing that the song had made it online before the release. Some of her tweets included:

Just heard TGT! F**K! IT’S NOT EVEN THE RIGHT F**KING VERSION!!! WHY DO PPL THINK THIS KINDA LEAKING S**T IS OK! I’M so Fg DISAPPOINTED

Disappointed( Ive sat on fking song 4 over a yr)NOW SOME ASSHOLE LEAKS WRONG VERSION! GaGa’s SINGLE IS GREAT & THAT’S ALL THAT MATTERS

Cher and Lady Gaga’s duet The Greatest Thing leaked online yesterday and in a way, Cher does have a reason to be angry. The collaboration between Cher and Lady Gaga was first confirmed in 2011 and originally a release of the duet was set for September of that year, so she has truly been waiting forever for the song to come out this year.

Another song, ‘Applause’ leaked in snippets on Saturday prompting Lady Gags’s fans to also become extremely angry and start anti-piracy campaigns. Applause is the first song to come out from Gaga’s upcoming Artpop album.

With Cher and Lady Gaga both freaking out over leaks, you have to wonder, did they really expect to have the songs not come out? I’m not sure that there have been many songs in the past five years that have not made it online prior to the song being fully released.

However, Lady Gaga did respond in a relatively good way by releasing Applause immediately after it leaked instead of keeping it hidden away until the previously set release date.

They should be happy that only the Cher and Lady Gaga duet leaked and not the entire album, which has happened to many high-profile artists. Now we just have to wonder if more images from her V Magazine photo shoot leak prior to release.
