Kristen Stewart Quietly Enrolls At UCLA, Wants To Pen Screenplay [Report]

Kristen Stewart might have a very practical reason for skipping award shows lately. Rumor has it, she has quietly enrolled as a student at UCLA to study English literature.

Though she has definitely been pulling away from the public eye lately, an insider suggests that she might want to concentrate on school right now. The source also says that KStew is studying English lit so that she can write her own screenplay someday.

“Her [script-supervisor] mom has always encouraged Kristen to write because she is so creative and passionate,” a source told HollywoodLife. “It’s a wonderful way for her to channel her thoughts and ideas.”

Another source told The Mirror: “Yes, Kristen’s a Tinseltown actress worth millions, but she is already considering a life after film. She never got to complete college, and she wants to get a proper education.”

It shouldn’t really come as a surprise. As far back as 2009, Stewart admitted a desire to go to school with eyes on becoming a writer someday.

“I want to go to college for literature. I want to be a writer. I mean, I love what I do, but it’s not all I want to do – be a professional liar for the rest of my life,” she said at the time.

But does that mean the 23-year-old will be leaving film behind? Heck no! She’s shooting Camp X-Ray right now and plans to balance her acting with her scholastic responsibilities like James Franco and Natalie Portman did.

But one of MSN Wonderwall’s sources says the college talk is bunk. They’re a little bit more hopeful about a Kristen Stewart / Robert Pattison reunion, though.

Do you think that Kristen Stewart would be a good writer?
