Bethenny Frankel Divorce ‘Brutal’ But Doesn’t Stop Skinnygirl Solutions Book Promotion
Bethenny Frankel’s divorce confessions are providing a new look into the not-so-secret life of The Real Housewives Of New York City reality TV star. The 42-year-old Skinnnygirl Cocktails founder has a new daytime show called Bethenny that premieres on September 9.
She’s also got a new book out, Skinnygirl Solutions. Frankel appeared on Good Morning America this morning to share some tips from the book, which she described as a complete guide to balancing it all.
I haven’t read the book. But apparently she means the term balance somewhat literally.
The New York Daily News said it included a tip on how to get falling-down drunk without actually falling down. Mm-kay.
Skinnygirl Solutions also offers some sex advice. But NYDN said Frankel denied that she’s actually getting any while the divorce is underway. So you can be the judge of how useful her advice on that topic might really be.
In an ABC Nightline interview earlier this week, Bethenny Frankel admitted that her divorce probably disappointed people. “I was this role model that represented the fairytale,” she acknowledged.
Frankel married Jason Hoppy in March 2010. Their daughter Bryn was born weeks later. The marriage was featured in the series Bethenny After After.
However, the couple separated in December 2012. Frankel filed for divorce in January 2013.
And now the custody fight over Bryn is getting brutal. In fact, “brutal” is the very word that Frankel used in her ABC Nightline video hosted at People.
But Bettheny Frankel doesn’t regret the messy breakup. “I could have stayed on the show and been like, ‘Oh everything’s perfect with us’…[but] It made me feel dirty for people to think that I had this perfect relationship and this perfect life.”
She also confessed that she isn’t above resorting to alcohol to cope the stress. “I like to have a Skinnygirl cocktail. I’m not going to lie.”
Despite her book and TV host gig, Bethenny Frankel’s divorce seems to overshadow her success.
