Missing Border Collie Found… In A Tree

A missing border collie was found in an unlikely place… A tree.

Laddy the dog had been missing for a few days when and his Iowa family was terribly worried about his well being. They searched all over the neighborhood and they even asked the Davenport police force to help with their search. Eventually the missing border collie was found a few blocks from the home and a few feet from the ground.

Laddy’s owner Cynthia Weeks said: “I asked where they found him, and the officer said, ‘You’ll never believe this.’

Weeks said that Laddy was found by Ron Stevenson, one of her neighbors, who had been working in his yard. Stevenson said that he heard a dog barking but he couldn’t figure out where it was coming from. Then Stevenson spotted something in his tree.

Stevenson said: “I heard a whining, and I knew something wasn’t right. This time, it sounded in distress… He was kind of shielded by leaves on the tree.”

It’s unclear how the missing border collie got stuck in the tree but Stevenson guess that the dog was probably chasing a squirrel. The dog didn’t notice how high he had gone and when he looked down he was too scared to go back.

Regardless of how Laddy got up the tree he is now safe and sound at home.
