Shayanna Jenkins: Aaron Hernandez Fiancee Suspected Of Taking Guns [Video]
Did Shayanna Jenkins, Aaron Hernandez’ fiancée, help to get rid of the murder weapon in the aftermath of the Odin Lloyd execution-style shooting on June 17? That’s the question that still remains unanswered as Massachusetts and Connecticut authorities continue to investigate.
Aaron Hernandez, as all the world knows, is the former New England Patriots tight end currently in jail in Massachusetts on first degree murder and weapons charges.
The murder occurred in Massachusetts near Hernandez’ home. But the complex case seems to involve a wide circle of people from Hernandez’ native town of Bristol, Connecticut.
And that includes his fiancée Shayanna Jenkins.
Connecticut news source The Courant said that Jenkins is under investigation by authorities to find out for sure if she knows where the murder weapon is.
New court records released Friday allege that Aaron Hernandez called Shayanna Jenkins to help him get rid of some weapons. According to those filings, there is surveillance footage from June 18 of Shayanna Jenkins removing a large, heavy trash bag from the basement of Hernandez’ house.
That ties in with Carlos Ortiz’ claim that Hernandez had stashed two guns in the basement. Ortiz is one of the Hernandez associates charged as an accessory to the Lloyd murder.
The police have been unable to find the murder weapon. The box Ortiz described was, of course, gone from the Hernandez basement.
According to SB Nation, Jenkins took the bag away in a red Nissan Sentra. By following her path, the police have already found a.22 caliber handgun that they believe was the one used by Ernest Wallace, one of the other men charged as an accessory in the Lloyd murder.
However, the 0.45 caliber Glock that Hernandez may have used hasn’t yet been located.
On July 26, investigators searched a storage unit in Bristol, Connecticut that was in Shayanna Jenkins’ name — but paid for with an Aaron Hernandez credit card. However, they came up empty there as well.
Shayanna Jenkins hasn’t been charged with any crime. Aaron Hernandez has pleaded not guilty.
