Angry Birds Coming To Xbox Live, WiiWare and Playstation Network

It’s official, the ultra-addictive bird fling game Angry Birds will soon be arriving at the Xbox Live Arcade, WiiWare and PlayStation Network online systems. The move to gaming consoles was announced by Rovio’s CEO Peter Vesterbacka at the first ever Social Gaming Summit.

The game is expected to hit consoles before the sequel to one of the world’s most popular mobile apps arrives. There is one twist, the story unfolds on gaming consoles from the view of the pigs, instead of the traditional view of the birds.

No exact date has been given for the console version of the game, we also don’t know if they’ll tag anything onto the name of the console version of the game. If one thing is certain, it’s that all my free time will soon be eaten up. [Via Pocket Gamer ]

Are you excited for a console version of the game? I wonder if my WiiMote will come in handy for this one? That would actually be pretty cool.
