‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ Synopsis Finally Revealed
Disney and Marvel Studios have unveiled the full synopsis for Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Fans have been able to piece the plot of the flick together thanks to leaks, set photos, and details dropped by the cast and crew. Now fans of the classic comic book superhero can feast their eyes on the official synopsis for the upcoming sequel.
Here’s Marvel describes the Captain America follow-up:
After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier finds Steve Rogers — also known as Captain America — living quietly in Washington, DC, and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk.
The synopsis continues:
Joining forces with the Black Widow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon. However, they soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy – the Winter Soldier.
Joining Chris Pine for the character’s next adventure are Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Robert Redford, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo, Georges St-Pierre, Hayley Atwell, Toby Jones, Emily VanCamp, and Maximiliano Hernandez.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier is slated to arrive next year. Before this flick rolls into theaters, Marvel Studios will unleash Thor: The Dark World across the nation. The long-haired hero’s next cinematic journey begins November 8. Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, and Tom Hiddleston star.
Once those films are out of the way, the studio is set to release Guardians of the Galaxy in August. The Avengers 2 should hit theaters in 2015. In other words, there will be plenty to keep you in theaters and out of the sun well into the foreseeable future.
