Duck Dynasty Daughter A Model, Dresses Must Be ‘Willie Approved’

Duck Dynasty daughter Sadie Robertson is designing prom dresses and hitting the runway in New York this September.

According to a news release from formalwear designer Sherri Hill, Sadie will be working on a collection of prom dresses for the spring of 2014. As yet, there are no details on prices or styles.

She’s also scheduled to model her collection in Sherri Hill’s New York Fashion Week runway show in September, and appear in the designer’s spring lookbook catalog, reports the L.A. Times.

You might recall that Robertson family already has a contentious history with formalwear, and we’re not talking about the struggle to find camouflaged blazers.

Sadie’s search for a Homecoming dress was actually featured in an episode of the popular A&E reality series last season in an episode titled “Duck Be a Lady.”

The episode featured a lot of humorous one-liners from business head Willie Robertson regarding his daughter’s dress selections like: “We need full coverage,” “Do you have anything in denim?” and “Do you know what a burka is?”

But according to Hill, Sadie “won’t have any problem finding a prom dress that she loves and that makes her dad happy,” next spring. All of the planned dresses are “Willie approved,” and the news release implies that the dresses are made with the terrified fathers of blooming young women in mind.

Still, Sadie seems intent on making dresses that young women would actually like to wear. A nice compromise, really.
