Bachelorette Contestant Julien Hug Found Dead

35-year-old former Bachelorette contestant Julien Hug is reported to have been found dead on a hiking trail near Palm Springs.

Local reports say that that Julien Hug’s father, Bertrand Hug, confirmed the body was found Wednesday. Hug was a Bachelorette contestant on Jillian Harris’ season in 2009.

The cause of death is not yet known, although local police noted that Julien Hug’s body had been in the remote Pinyon Pines area off State Route 74, an area that “you would need to hike into.”

Hug was reported missing on Monday, after he failed to arrive at Palm Desert to help manage his family’s newest restaurant.

Friends noted that Hug was a thrill seeker who enjoyed sky diving and hiking.
