Ashlee Simpson And Her Mom Talk Clothing Line, Working With Family

Ashlee Simpson has been working on Jessica Simpson’s new clothing line, and now she’s opening up about her sister’s work and what it’s like to work with family.

In an interview with E! News, Ashlee says of her siblings new clothing collection:

“This time it’s bohemian Americana, so that was the theme… And she asked me to shoot the campaign which was an honor and she was there directing it.”

Ashlee goes on to tell PEOPLE:

“I have a pretty cool sister with an amazing sense of style, and I was honored to get to do the shoot,” says Ashlee, who collaborates on the brand as well, contributing to the tween line. “We keep it in the family. Jessica’s a fun one to work with.”

Talking about her daughter’s Americana spirit line and Ashlee’s boho vibe, mom Tina tells E News!’ Alicia Quarles:

“Both girls are all-American, but Ashlee has more of an edge and Jessica is a little more how you are dressed, like sweet Americana—that’s the difference.”

Tina also revealed that Jessica Simpson’s first child Maxwell is leaning towards being more like Ashlee than his own mom. So there you have it, Jessica Simpson has a boho baby.

Talking about the cancellation of her daughter’s show, Fashion Star, Tina says:

“I think it was a nice transition time for her, because with two kids at home it’s going to be a little hard.”

When asked if Jessica Simpson is already moving on to the next big thing, her mom proclaims “who knows!” Tina says Jessica has “a lot in store.”
