Sony RM-KZ1 Makes TV Remote Controlling Kid Friendly

I’m not sure if I want my kids to be playing with a TV remote all too much, they should be outside getting exercise, but Sony disagrees and their new RM-KZ1 child friendly remote gives young children a reason to watch more TV.

The controller is “kid” proof, offering a splash-proof design, while the buttons are placed without all those unneeded input and output buttons found on universal remotes. The remote also has programmable buttons for each access to your child’s favorite shows. The programmable buttons are the larger options at the top of the remote, making it simple for your kids to find Nick Jr., Disney and other kid friendly programming you’ve chosen for them.

Parents will also approve of the “volume limiting” feature which only allows for three up and down volume levels every 30 seconds. Sure your kid could wait 30 seconds or head over to the TV to change the volume level, but kids are lazy these days.

The cost? $18 at Target Stores and they’re already available for purchase! [Via Ubergizmo]
