Kristen Bell Not In A Rush To Lose Her Baby Weight

Kristen Bell isn’t going to get caught up in the Hollywood race to drop her baby weight.

It’s become almost a prerequisite for Hollywood moms to recover quickly from giving birth, showing off their newly fit bodies on the cover of celebrity magazines. That doesn’t sound too appealing to Kristen Bell.

“I’m proud to sit out the baby weight rat race,” Bell tweeted Friday.

Bell is interviewed this month in Redbook, which features photos taken 11 weeks after her daughter Lincoln was born in March. The 33-year-old actress said she’s going to continue working out, but isn’t sweating the fact that she’s still 15 pounds heavier than her pre-pregnancy weight.

It helps that her fiance Dax Shepard said he loves his wife’s new shape.

“All he did was tell me he loved me chubby,” Kristen Bell said. “He even asked me to stay chubby after the baby was born.”

Kristen Bell said her ultimate goal is to return to her pre-baby weight, but isn’t going to force things. So far she’s lost much of the 43 pounds she gained during the pregnancy, using a combination of healthy eating and low-impact workouts.

“I’d like to get back down to where I was before the baby … But if this is where my body wants to be, so be it. I’m not going to make myself miserable for the rest of my life trying to get back to where I was before.”

She’s found chances to work out wherever she can, including the set of the new Veronica Mars movie.

Kristen Bell will get a chance to show off the progress she’s made when she appears in the Veronica Mars movie, which was funded with $5 million raised through the crowdfunding site Kickstarter.
