Omaha, Nebraska to host second UFL Championship game

In the end this decision or contest was such a no brainer that well let us focus on the positive. Omaha, Nebraska will host the second ever UFL Championship game on Saturday November 27th. To determine the second ever UFL Champion. The UFL will say that many factors went into this decision, but in my mind this is the one city on North America that has the most UFL hard core fans by a wide margin. Of course they would have the most Facebook fans, or twitter followers, but the simple fact here is the good people of Omaha have fully embraced this league and their Nighthawks.

More than the announcement that Omaha will get the championship game, this should serve as a lesson for the UFL. Forget Los Angeles, forget big markets, they have to find Omaha size cities to expand too. Places where he fans are hungry for a pro football team and are ready to fully embrace like the citizens of Omaha have.

Better than all of that for Nighthawks fans is their team has a really good chance of making it to said championship game. They sit 3-1 tied for first with the Las Vegas Locos. They have proven to be a very good team, and barring any real injuries or calamities these are the two teams we should see in the only UFL post season game.

In the press release the league was quick to point out that there were other cities that deserved this game. I don’t really buy that, Omaha leads the UFL in attendance by a wide margin and around 48,000 fans there have bought tickets to see UFL games there already. Regardless of the reported attendance, 48k is likely more attendance then the entire league in year one, and that fact alone should prove that Omaha deserved this game.
