Fallout: New Vegas downloadable content revealed, reviews out tomorrow

Fallout: New Vegas hits North America Tuesday, and I’ll be all over it like a Radroach on a Vault Survivor. ‘Fallout: New Vegas reviews’ is currently trending on Google, so anticipation is clearly high for the game, though the first reviews won’t be published until tomorrow.

To fill your waiting time then, a spot of news from the Strip Bethesda Softworks: like its predecessor, Fallout: New Vegas will be getting downloadable add-ons in the coming months, with the first piece coming this year. Also, it’s Xbox 360-exclusive – sorry, PC/PS3 owners.

No details have been splurged on the nature of the DLC, or if it will come to other formats (my hunch is it will, just as Fallout 3‘s DLC was made available on multiple platforms); apparently, we’ll be due some information in the coming weeks. Here’s Bethesda’s US public relations boss Pete Hines flapping his trap in pressreleasese:

“We’re excited to continue the partnership between Bethesda and Microsoft, and build on the success of the game add-ons released for Fallout 3 on Xbox LIVE. We have no doubt that gamers will be thrilled with seeing a new add-on pack extend their adventures with Fallout: New Vegas on Xbox 360 and Xbox LIVE”

Fallout 3‘s DLC was highly variable in quality, so fingers crossed they nail this.
