Hudson River Body Found: Police Recover Second Victim After Boat Crash

A second body has been found in the Hudson River after a boat crash over the weekend.

Police have already recovered the body of Lindsey Stewart, a young woman who was celebrating her upcoming marriage, and this morning the police found a second body in the Hudson River.

Police believe that the body is Mark Lennon, the 30-year-old best man, but he has not been positively identified yet.

Rockland County Sheriff Louis Falco said: “I don’t think you can put words to what we have to tell these families.”

Barbera said that the boat crashed into a construction barge below the Tappan Zee Bridge on Friday night. Jojo John, 35, was driving the boat at the time of the accident. Police officers believe that John was “intoxicated” at the time of the crash and have charged him with vehicular manslaughter. John is also facing three counts of second-degree vehicular assault.

Robert Van Cura, undersheriff of the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office, said: “We have probable cause to believe that he operated the boat while intoxicated.”

John is currently in custody at the hospital.

Carol Stewart, the bride-to-be’s mother, said: “She’s supposed to be married two weeks from today. It just can’t end like this.”

Stewart’s fiance Brian Bond was also in the boat at the time of the crash. Bond is currently in the hospital in “fair” condition.

Police are currently investigating the cause of the crash. In addition to having a drunk driver, police are checking to see if the barge was properly lit on the night of the accident.
