Week six shakes up USA Today and AP Polls
Week Six was a pretty brutal affair. Alabama goes down to South Carolina by two touchdowns. Michigan gets exposed as a one man gang, and the USA Today Coaches Poll and AP poll look pretty similar. On top of that word leaked that the first BCS ranking may have Boise State as the #1 team in the farce of a poll. Again all this proves is the polls mean nothing and College Football needs to decide their national champion on the field of play.
With that being said here is a look at teh top 25 collegiate football teams according to the Coaches and USA Today:
- Ohio State
- Oregon
- Boise State
- Nebraska
- TCU
- Oklahoma
- Auburn
- Alabama
- LSU
- Utah
- Michigan State
- South Carolina
- Arkansas
- Iowa
- Stanford
- Wisconsin
- Florida State
- Oklahoma State
- Missouri
- Arizona
- Nevada
- Florida
- Air Force
- Michigan
- West Virginia
So The Miami Hurricanes take a drumming at the hands of Florida State and get bounced from the poll. Northwestern gets beat by three by Purdue and also get bounced. The Coaches welcome in Air Force and West Virginia to take their places. The big difference in the polls this week is the AP poll does not include Michigan. They have Oregon State ranked 24th, and that could further boost the BCS aspirations of Boise State.
