Reddit Invents ‘Moreo,’ Like An Oreo On Steroids And Crack [Awesome]
If you haven’t seen the Moreo, Reddit’s new bastardized Oreo, drop everything — because we think it’s going to become the most pressing social issue of the summer.
The Moreo is the brainchild of a Reddit user and like the anti-peanut butter knuckles peanut butter jar we discovered yesterday, we demand to know why this item is not already in our pantries. (Or fridge, if you’re one of those horrible people who keeps peanut butter in the fridge.)
User EternallyXIII is the mad genius responsible for the Moreo version of the Oreo, and the post with a Moreo mockup is, he says, a last-ditch effort after hoping Nabisco would catch on.
He went to the right place, because Reddit is all about the Moreo — the thread, titled “I’ve been trying to get ahold of someone at Nasbisco for years. I present to you, Moero. Make this happen!” has 2352 comment and at least 1624 upvotes (likely offset by the sites rabid fitness and dieting communities, who are likely anti Moreo.)
It seems that the Moreo may have even been made visible to food industry execs that could make the fever dream of a thousand stoners a reality — one user, iHusk, commented:
“I don’t work for Nabisco but I work for one of the largest food companies in the world. I’m going to pitch this to my boss and the VP of RQI next week. This is a great idea.”

“So… can I get in on this pitch?”

It’s not clear the Moreo will ever hit store shelves, but if you’re reading this post, I think we speak for the entire internet in declaring the concept already has a permanent place in our hearts.
