Freddie Prinze Jr. To Guest Star On ‘Bones’


Get ready for Freddie Prinze Jr. on your television screen. The 90s actor, who’s better known these days as being Sarah Michelle Gellar’s husband, is making his way back to television.

Freddie Prinze Jr. is set to appear on FOX’s Bones, opposite David Boreanaz who once romanced Prinze Jr.’s wife on the hit TV series Buffy The Vampire Slayer.

For his upcoming role Freddie Prinze Jr. will play a CIA agent by the name of Danny. His character is described as “an armed and dangerous former associate of Booth and Brennan.”

TV Line, who broke the news of Prinze’s new role, said the character will be involved in Booth (Boreanaz) and Brennan’s (Emily Deschanel) murder investigation. It is said that Prinze Jr.’s character will make his debut on the September 16 episode, which just so happens to be the season premiere.

The good news for Prinze Jr. and his fans is that the actor may return for a multi-episode arc on Bones. Bones is now FOX’s longest running drama on the network.

For Freddie Prinze Jr. this may be another good run on television. In recent years, the actor has dedicated himself to WWE as a special guest host. Later on Freddie returned to the WWE as a producer and director, and has since then made a few appearances on the show.

As far as episodic acting, Freddie Prinze Jr. played Cole Ortiz on the series 24, and played Danny Crane’s son Donny Crane on Boston Legal for two years. In between that he had a failed sitcom called Freddie, and a few voice gigs in between.

In 2002 Freddie Prinze Jr. married I Know What You Did Last Summer co-star Sarah Michelle Gellar. Since then the two have welcomed two children, daughter Charlotte, and a son Rocky.
