The Muppets Royal Baby Video Congratulates Prince William And Kate Middleton

The Muppets’ Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy have recorded a video congratulating Prince William and Kate Middleton on the birth of their child.

Walt Disney Studios uploaded the video to YouTube which showed the loveable couple congratulating the Royal couple on the birth of the future king. They filmed the short clip on the set of their upcoming Muppets movie, Muppets Most Wanted, which is currently being filmed in London.

The video starts with Miss Piggy launching herself on screen to inform Kermit of the news that the Duchess Of Cambridge has just given birth. She tells her beau, “Oh, oh Kermy! Isn’t this exciting. Kate is a mommy! Prince William is a daddy! And there’s a new royal baby boy!”

Kermit simply responds, “Yeah, it’s wonderful, Piggy,” before then looking to draw attention back to the William and Kate by stating, “From the Muppets and everyone here in London shooting our new movie, congratulations.”

Miss Piggy then takes this opportunity to confront Kermit with the idea of having their own royal child. Unfortunately for Piggy though Kermit is nonplussed by the suggestion, and after she hints that she can hear the “teeny tiny patter of tadpole feet,” he informs her that tadpoles don’t have feet before she then chastises him for ruining the “beautiful moment.”

Last month it was confirmed that Muppets Most Wanted would hit cinemas in March 2014, with the sequel starring Ricky Gervais and Tina Fey.

The official synopsis for the film’s plot is described; “Mayhem follows the Muppets overseas,as they find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper headed by Constantine, the World’s Number One Criminal and a dead ringer for Kermit, and his dastardly sidekick, Dominic, aka Number Two, portrayed by Ricky Gervais.”

Jason Segel and Amy Adams won’t feature in the follow-up however the original movie’s director, James Bobin and screenwriter, Nicholas Stroller, have both returned.
