REVEALED!: Where Super Mario got his overalls

We’ve all heard the same Mario factoids over and over again: creator Shigeru Miyamoto gave him a mustache because he struggled to fit a mouth in, Mario wears a cap because his hair was difficult to draw, and so forth.

Interesting stuff, but how about those famous dungarees?

Don’t know how I missed it.
