‘Family Guy’ And ‘The Simpsons’ To Do Crossover Episode In 2014

Fox’s Family Guy and The Simpsons will do a crossover episode in fall 2014 in an episode that will be entitled “The Simpsons Guy.”

The Griffins — which includes father Peter, his wife, Lois, and their three children, Meg, Chris, and their psychotic baby, Stewie — will embark on a road trip in the installment that will see them end up in Springfield, The Simpsons’ home town.

Once they arrive, they quickly become friends with Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie, and the two families bond over their similarities. Stewie will become enamored with Bart’s mischievous manner, Lisa will take Meg under her wing in an attempt to find her talent, and Marge and Lois will bond over their lives as housewives.

Meanwhile, Homer and Peter, who are two of the greatest comedic creations in animation history, simply head to Moe’s Tavern and take part in the a debate that is as old as time itself; which beer is better, Duff or Pawtucket? My money is on Duff.

The Simpsons’ cast members — which include Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith, Harry Shearer, and Hank Azaria — will lend their vocal talents to the installment, whilst Seth MacFarlane, Alex Borstein, Seth Green, and Mila Kunis will star as their Family Guy characters too.

Previously, there had been bad blood between the two comedy series, with both The Simpsons and Family Guy writers taking pot shots at each other for numerous seasons. However, over time, they have become closer, and in an October 2012 episode of Family Guy, Dan Castellaneta, who voices Homer Simpson, even provided a one-line cameo as the infamous character.

Seth MacFarlane, the creator of Family Guy and the voice of Peter Griffin, even provided a prominent speaking role in the finale of The Simpsons’ season 24.

This much anticipated episode will air in fall 2014. You can check out a video of The Simpsons cameos in Family Guy below.
