Arsenal Fan Meets Players After Running Alongside Team Bus For Three Miles

A devoted Arsenal fan ran alongside the club’s team bus for three miles as he attempted to meet their players and manager, which he finally did when the driver decided to bring the automobile to a stop.

Vu Xuan Tien, who has since been labelled as “The Running Man,” noticed the team’s bus as it drove through the Vietnam capital, Hanoi. Arsenal are currently in the area partaking in a tour of South East Asia.

Arsenal have since uploaded a video, which was filmed by their striker, Olivier Giroud, and all of the club were impressed because the 20-year-old managed to run for several miles alongside the bus. You can watch a clip above.

Vu, who was wearing an Arsenal top to show his devotion to the team, was invited onto the bus after it came to a stop, and was then able to pose for pictures with the entire squad. As Vu went around the bus the players decided to chant, “sign him up, sign him up,” in an attempt to advise their manager, Arsene Wenger, to purchase him.

Vu was running for around 5 miles, and he managed to doge traffic and even jumped onto the back of a motorbike to help him keep up with the bus.

Wojciech Szczesny, the Arsenal and Poland goalkeeper, confirmed that the entire team was impressed by Vu’s efforts. He stated, “We were all cheering him on. He had an unbelievable six-pack and we were sort of jealous,” admitted the shot-stopper, who saw his body after Vu took it off so that the entire squad could sign it.

Wenger also remarked, “I have felt very happy these last few days in Vietnam and will leave with many fond memories, especially of Running Man.”

Arsenal’s Facebook group, noted, “The Asia Tour has been full of amazing characters so far – but none more so than the ‘Running Man’ who quite literally went the extra mile to meet his heroes.”
