‘Man Of Steel’: ‘How It Should Have Ended’ Hits YouTube [Video]

Man of Steel has landed a “How It Should Have Ended” video on YouTube!

For those not familiar with YouTube‘s “How It Should Have Ended,” on the HISHEdotcom channel, animators take popular movies and analyze how they went, and then come up with a more feasible or funny scenario that would have made the movie shorter. Occasionally they throw in a joke or two about movie crossovers, like they did with the first Star Trek by J.J. Abrams, where the USS Enterprise goes through the black hole and ends up being blown to oblivion by the Death Star from Star Wars.

The Man of Steel episode of “How It Should Have Ended” begins with Jor-El saying his last goodbyes to Kal-El as he puts a Kryptonian control key into the child’s spaceship and sends him off. His wife catches him and asks, “Wait, what was that? What did you just put in the pod?”

Jor-El replies, “Oh, I just copied my consciousness into the control key so I can communicate with our son. You know later, when he grows up.”

She then asks, “Did you make one of me?” and the scene plays out with her giving him a guilt trip over what he just did, and him running off in a hurry.

After the break, the Man of Steel “How It Should Have Ended” video has General Zod announcing his intentions via public TV like he did in the film. Then the video cuts to Kal-El, now known as Clark Kent, talking to his adopted mother, “If only there was someone I could turn to for guidance about the situation.”

She suggests perhaps a random Priest. Clark responds, “No, not a random Priest, someone who actually knows something about Zod’s decision. Someone who actually knew him. Oh wait! My space Dad!”

A couple of scenes later, we see Zod in orbit near Earth, whining about 24 hours being too much time, when they pick up Superman on the detectors, carrying his spaceship toward the villain’s. He proceeds to throw it at the orbiting spacecraft, when Admiral Ackbar from Star Wars pops in and yells, “It’s a trap!”

The rest of the video is above. What do you think of the Man of Steel “How It Should Have Ended” video?
