Agnieszka Radwanska Nude Photos Cause Backlash From Polish Catholic Youth Group

Agnieszka Radwanska was dropped from her Catholic Youth Group after she took a few nude photos for ESPN’sThe Body Issue.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Radwanska was an ambassador for a group called Youth Crusade and frequently participated in the “I’m Not Ashamed Of Jesus” campaign. The tennis player, who is currently ranked no. 4 by the Women’s Tennis Association, was dropped from the group for displaying “immoral behavior.”

Father Marek Dziewiecki said: “It’s a shame that someone who has declared their love for Jesus is now promoting the mentality of men looking at a woman as a thing rather than a child of God worthy of respect and love. If she meets a man who she can truly love and establish a happy family and raise Catholic children, then she would probably have to hide these pictures from relatives.”

Radwanska’s nude photos were a hot topic in Poland last week. The photos were on the front page of several publications as the country, which according to Fox News is 90% catholic, debated whether or not the tennis star’s actions were immoral.

Agnieszka Radwanska hasn’t commented on the nude photo controversy yet but she did talk at length with ESPN about her body.

Radwanska said: “I feel fortunate that I can stay pretty lean without having to do too much gym work. With tennis, you have to play nearly every day, so I don’t get to spend as much time in the gym as I would like. But for as long as I can remember I have been playing tennis, so I have a pretty active lifestyle.”
