Kirstie Alley ‘Livid’ With Leah Remini Over Scientology Split
Bad blood has been reported between actress and longtime Scientologist Kirstie Alley and actress and recently-ex-Scientologist Leah Remini.
Last week, Remini announced that she would be leaving the controversial religion, alleging that years of interrogations and though modifications followed her questioning of the church leader, David Miscavige.
Remini had grown curious and critical of the church’s practices, as well as the mysterious disappearance of Miscavige’s wife (though she hasn’t been seen in public since 2006, church reps say she is simply busy with church work).
The 43-year-old King of Queens star had long been one of the church’s most famous members.
A Scientologist for at least three decades, Remini had publicly defended the controversial religion on many occasions.
Kirstie Alley, herself a longtime Scientologist, was reportedly “livid” with Remini for leaving, according to Scientology journalist Tony Ortega.
He printed several of Alley’s tweets supposedly referencing Remini’s decision to leave:
When faced w malicious gossip I take a moment to experience the loss of the person I thought was my friend… Then I say fuck em..:) #RISE

Additionally, Ortega reported that Alley was part of a church meeting for celebrities, which was meant to be a briefing regarding how to handle fallout from Remini’s departure.
That meeting was supposedly held at the home of Scientologist Melinda Brownstone. Alley tweeted about a visit to Brownstone’s house just a few days after reports of Remini’s exit first made headlines.

But it’s still all speculative, as Alley has no issued a formal statement on the matter through her reps or Twitter. She did, however, tweet this on Monday:
have a good one…don’t believe everything you read…in fact don’t believe anything you read..even better, just stop reading..;) xxo

Do you think that Kirstie Alley and other Scientologists are “livid” with Leah Remini, or will they let her go peacefully? Sound off!
