Geraldo Rivera: Trayvon Martin Would Have Been Shot By All Female Jury

Geraldo Rivera claims Trayvon Martin would have also been killed by the all-female jury that is overseeing the George Zimmerman murder case.

Based on the circumstances set forth by the defense, the often controversial reporter told viewers of Fox & Friends:

“I see those six ladies in the jury putting themselves on that rainy night, in that housing complex that has just been burglarized by three or four different groups of black youngsters from the adjacent community. So it’s a dark night, a 6-foot-2-inch hoodie-wearing stranger is in the immediate housing complex. How would the ladies of that jury have reacted? I submit that if they were armed, they would have shot and killed Trayvon Martin a lot sooner than George Zimmerman did. This is self-defense.

This is hardly the first time Rivera has sounded like a moron when it comes to describing the Zimmerman case. In March 2012, Rivera proclaimed:

“I think the hoodie is as much responsible for Trayvon Martin’s death as George Zimmerman (his killer).”

A hoodie campaign was soon started against Geraldo Rivera, yet he continued to gloat about his original comments.

Following Rivera’s original comments, various sports figures, celebrities, and political figures spoke out against his ignorant remark. Even Rivera’s own son attacked his dad’s actions.

Geraldo Rivera’s comments have not sat well with online viewers. Here are a few of the YouTube comments that following today’s remarks:

  • “What a disgusting human being”
  • “If any of those women were in Trayvon Martin’s position, and they were armed, they would have shot George Zimmerman.”
  • “No Geraldo… it’s called murder.”

I’m pretty sure the guy who lied about spending time on the frontline of a battlefield isn’t being taken seriously by anyone but Fox News viewers.

Do you think Geraldo Rivera has once again stepped over the line?
