‘How To Train Your Dragon 2’ Releases Teaser Trailer [Video]

How To Train Your Dragon 2’s trailer has finally hit the internet. One thing that’s noticeably different is the appearance of a once scrawny Hiccup. The character that started out in the previous movie as a timid little guy is now all man as he’s shown riding everyone’s favorite dragon.

How To Train Your Dragon 2 reunites the original cast Jay Baruchel as the lead, and Gerard Butler, Craig Ferguson, Jonah Hill, and Kristen Wiig as supporting.

How To Train Your Dragon was a coming-of-age animated film about Hiccup, a black sheep amongst his Viking family. Hiccup had big dreams of hunting dragons, but instead makes an unlikely friend in a young dragon. Through the friendship he learns that dragons aren’t all what they are chalked up to be in his world.

Three years later and both Hiccup and Toothless are looking a bit older, and mightier for How To Train Your Dragon 2. For the sequel Dreamworks promised to have more humor, emotional heart, and a ton of action sequences for Hiccup and Toothless’ next journey.

The official synopsis for the sequel reads as follows:

The thrilling second chapter of the epic “How to Train Your Dragon” trilogy brings back the fantastical world of Hiccup and Toothless five years later. While Astrid, Snoutlout and the rest of the gang are challenging each other to dragon races (the island’s new favorite contact sport), the now inseparable pair journey through the skies, charting unmapped territories and exploring new worlds.

When one of their adventures leads to the discovery of a secret ice cave that is home to hundreds of new wild dragons and the mysterious Dragon Rider, the two friends find themselves at the center of a battle to protect the peace.”
