Best Buy Offering $200 Apple iPad Trade-In Deal

Best Buy is offering a minimum $200 to anyone who trades in their still working Apple iPad 2 or iPad 3.

The deal is good through the weekend and provides customers with a $200 Best Buy gift card. The gift card can be used on any available items online and via Best Buy’s brick and mortar stores.

The offer is only available on July 12 and July 13, and the value of the trade-in will be bottomed out at $200. That means an 8GB Wi-Fi model will land customers $200 while a higher end model with mobile data connectivity will offer a better trade-in value.

The Apple iPad fourth generation models start at $499 for the 16GB version, which means a lower-end trade-in is worth less than half the value of a new device.

Here are a few prices you can expect to pay if you trade-in your old iPad for a newer model:

  • $499.99 for the 16GB version
  • $599.99 for the 32GB version

Trade in the lowest end Apple iPad, and you are already looking at $299.99 for a 4th generation 16GB model and $399.99 for the 32GB edition.

Best Buy says it will recycle all of the devices it receives during the trade-in period.

Customers signed up for the Best Buy student deals program will save even more money on a new Apple iPad during the weekend trade-in period.

If you want to spend less money on a new tablet device, you can pick up the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 for just $299.99 ($99 after rebate) or the Apple iPad Mini for just $129 after the rebate.

With Apple gearing up for its next generation iPad and iPhone devices in the near future, we will likely continue to find more upcoming discounts on its legacy devices.

Will you be taking advantage of the Apple iPad trade-in program at Best Buy this weekend?
