A brain-controlled wheelchair with AI augmentation

As much fun as I might make of the strange and weird things we humans invent there are time when something comes along that could truly transform parts of our society. This brain-controlled wheelchair from some researchers at École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (or EPFL) in Switzerland could be one of those things.
While many other scientists have tried their hand at this idea this team of researchers has gone the route of utilizing EEG readings to detect brain patterns, but then they add on top of that some artificial intelligence that will allow for “shared control” of the wheelchair.
I’m betting that Stephen Hawking would be first in line for one of these.
