Mariah Carey Hospitalized After Dislocating Shoulder During Music Video Shoot

Mariach Carey had to go to the hospital this weekend after she dislocated her shoulder while shooting a music video in New York City.

The singer reportedly took a fall while filming a remix of #Beautiful in the Chelsea neighborhood. The NY Post reports that Carey tripped in her high heels and dislocated her shoulder.

Carey’s rep, Cindi Berger, released a statement: “Mariah injured herself while filming a video with Jeezy for the remix of ‘#Beautiful, directed by her husband Nick Cannon. She was taken to hospital late last night, where doctors reset her shoulder. She is fine and recovering at home.”

Carey frequently posts about her personal life on Twitter and Instagram but the singer hasn’t commented on her injury yet. Her last tweets were all about bikinis and the 4th of July.

Carey had to go to the hospital this weekend but it doesn’t appear like the injury is too serious. She is still scheduled to perform at Central Park’s Great Lawn on July 13 for a Hurricane Sandy Relief benefit. The singer’s rep said that Carey will still perform at the benefit show but added that she’ll probably be wearing a fashionable arm sling.

Berger added: “She will perform, but it is likely she will have her arm in a sling.”

Mariah Carey originally recorded #Beautiful with singer Miguel. The remix will feature Young Jeezy and will be the lead single off of her new album The Art Of Letting Go.
