‘Incredible’ Katy Perry Gets Song Dedication From John Mayer

Katy Perry might be the first woman (that we know of, at least) to have a song dedicated to her (by name, no less) from musician and on-again boyfriend John Mayer.

Mayer’s new “Born and Raised Tour” kicked off at Milwaukee’s Marcus Amphitheatre Saturday night, and he reportedly closed his set with a sweet dedication to his lady love. The 35-year-old played “A Face To Call Home,” and reportedly called Katy Perry his “face to call home.”

Cue the “aww’s.”

Mayer and Perry have broken up and gotten back together more times than we care to say, and most folks are still having a hard time separating Mayer from his womanizing reputation of years past.

But whether or not they can make their relationship work, the two at least seem like they want to make it work.

Mayer’s new tour follows his recent throat surgery, which he didn’t bother to mention during his show. Except at the very end, when he complimented Perry for looking after him during his recovery.

“[She took the time] to continue to get know me and love me,” he said.

While they were broken up, Perry did mention to Vogue that her feelings for Mayer hadn’t gone away.

“[I] was madly in love with [Mayer],” she said. “I still am madly in love with him. All I can say about that relationship is that he’s got a beautiful mind….Beautiful mind, tortured soul. I do have to figure out why I am attracted to these broken birds.”

Mayer has always been complimentary of his relationship with Perry, even hinting months back that he hadn’t ruled out marriage.

“Of course,” he said, when asked if his relationship with Perry could blossom into marriage. “I mean, I’m still the kid from Connecticut. That’s what you do.”

So why do these kids keep breaking up if they love each other so much?

Do you think that Katy Perry and John Mayer will make it last?
